Harmony Devoe is the first Vermont Youth Poet Laureate!

Congratulations to Harmony Devoe, a 15-year-old poet from Warren, VT! And congratulations to the two runners up – YWP poet Grace Batsie, 18, of Jericho, VT, and to Emma Paris! And a special shout-out to YWP's Maelyn Slavik, 13, of Burlington, and Roma Vallabhaneni, 17, of Essex, who were among the 10 finalists for this honor! The other finalists were: Elias Francis, Nadia Frazier, Maya Hynes, Mayla Landis-Marinello, and Anita Miller. 

The winner and two runners up were announced April 20 at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. during the National Youth Poet Laureate Commencement event.
