Dead End.
I dred the end of life.
When I look around me,
I see lots of dead corps.
It is very dark and humid,
As I lay prostrate on a dirt road.
I look up from the ground,
I see a figure looking at with me with green eyes.
I think it is a person,
but I realize it is not.
It is a yellow sign,
with the words DEAD END.
I am crying,
I think my life ends right here.
But I wake up, Read more »
Trouble at the Verizon Center!
Submitted by Ham123 on Tue, 01/15/2013 - 10:36am
It was nighttime at the Verizon Wireless Center in Manchester, New Hampshire. The band, The Monkey Eaters, was getting ready to perform. Inside the stadium, it was dark and quiet. The band was backstage and the audience was waiting for them to come out. The announcement was made that the band was on their way. The stadium was full of crazed fans now screaming out with excitement for their favorite band. At last, The Monkey Eaters were on stage.
The band was performing their first song. Everyone was jumping around to the music. The temperature in the stadium was rising because of all the excitement and dancing from the fans. The lights were flashing all around the stadium. The music was so loud nobody could hear themselves talk. The lead singer, Liam, was full of excitement to see the crowd so enthusiastic. The band was having a great show when all of the sudden, the lights went out. When the lights came back on, Liam was out of sight. The rest of the band was on the stage with confused looks on their faces. The stage manager called security to tell them to get the rest of the band off the stage before anything else happened. Backstage, everyone was searching for Liam, but he was nowhere to be found. The stage manager called the police. Read more »
The Joy of Winter

The Joy of Winter
Winter.
The cold feeling.
Sledding with my sister Isabel.
Going super fast down a big hill,
Isabel cheers me on.
At the bottom of the big hill,
I tumble out of the sled onto the icy cold snow.
I stop and lay on the snow,
Looking up to the sky.
Snowflakes land on my cheeks,
Making my cheeks red.
The wind is unbelievably quiet.
I cannot wait to go inside for hot cocoa.
Winter.
Fingers are best
Submitted by Ham123 on Fri, 09/28/2012 - 2:20pmMy worst habit is eating with my fingers. It is a habit that I have struggled with for a long time. I can’t seem to stop! Eating with my fingers was something I saw my sister do when she was little and I started to do it. At home and at school, my friends try hard to tell me to use my fork or spoon. I would use my fork or spoon for a couple of minutes and then go back to my fingers. I don’t know why I do that…it’s just a BAD HABIT!!
I want my bad habit to subside. I don’t always realize when I am using my fingers. One way I can try to change my bad habit is to bring my fork and spoon with me everywhere I go. Again, I honestly do not how to break the habit of eating with my fingers, but I really want to try.
