Dream Vacation
By Grace Stewart
China, China, China! My dream destination, The Great Wall of China! I would love to ride my purple and white Kiki Bike on the Great Wall of China, and feel the wind rushing at my face and blowing back my hair. But most of all, actually see the ancient wall built to stop the enemies from trespassing into this beautiful Country. Read more »
Wells, Maine

After an exasperating three hour drive, my family finally arrives in Wells, Maine.
All of our family reunions have always happened here in this four story, faded white, house on Wells Beach. They probably always will. Read more »

The Future
Submitted by dmorrison on Fri, 05/03/2013 - 2:33pmFriday, February 28th, 2025
Today I woke up around 6:47 and I got up, brushed my teeth, got some coffee, took my dog to the bathroom, and ate breakfast. I went to work after breakfast and while I was on my flying scooter, I got greeted by my best friend, Gavin. He said ‘’Hey Liam, Happy Birthday’’ and “Are you going bald yet? Are you getting even more deaf than you are now?” I said "Well Bud, you will be bald and deaf anytime sooner than me. You are older than me!" We both laughed and moved on.
I got to work and my friends greeted me and said "Happy Birthday!" I logged on to my hologram computer and right when I logged on, the computer said in a robotic voice "Happy Birthday!" and I said "Thank you, and can you please open the Star project folder?" I was very pleased that my friends greeted me, I felt special. I began work on Star and my boss let me out home early. Read more »
Datrimury
Submitted by dmorrison on Fri, 05/03/2013 - 2:30pmDatrimury 33rd 2084
The year is 2084 and the month is Datrimurry, named after the new, vain president, Mr. Datri. M. Ury.
Today iRobots came out on the market. I didn’t buy one. I don't know what will happen if people start relying on robots to do everyday deeds like getting dressed and feeding themselves.
Usually I ride my flycycle, a flying bike and walk my dogs everyday. Today, to avoid the mob scene, I just stayed inside and used my reading glasses. I love how all you can see is the hologram of the book.
I'd like to see someone with an iRobot survive one day in 2013.

Christmas Time
Submitted by dmorrison on Fri, 11/02/2012 - 2:57pm
Nighttime
Laying asleep
As I suddenly awaken
My eyes gaze toward the window
A snowman appears to be waving to me
It’s snowing
Winter
Albino Mountains
A full moon rising
Sleigh bell jingling in the air
An old man shouting in the distant sky
Merry Christmas
He calls to me
And to all a good night
Then they gallop in to the distant snow falling
Happy New Year

Winter Tail
Submitted by dmorrison on Fri, 11/02/2012 - 2:46pm
Families are enjoying a mid-morning meander, with the sun high in the sky, light reflecting off the iced covered trees.
Ice weighing,
Thin braches snapping,
Wandering families dodging,
White-tailed deer sprinting,
Tree trunks below towering,
Everything regaining peacefulness,
A now blissful winter morning
Winter
Submitted by dmorrison on Fri, 11/02/2012 - 2:38pm
The everlasting mountains crystalize as the brunt of winter approaches. Each branch on each tree is as brittle as ribbon candy in the box. Skiers rush like a raging river trying to conquer the mountain without falter. The harsh winds cut at my face, as I look for an opening in the line of skiers like mom looking for the quickest checkout line at the grocery store. Finally a gap and I race to reach the solid main trail; gliding like a fish in a lake. I take the longest path to the bottom knowing this is my final run of the day. The mixture of wet snow and speed makes me hyper like a six –year-old trick or treating. At the end of the mountain, I settle down by my car, load up my gear, and head home. This is winter living at it's best in Vermont.
Home Alone
Submitted by dmorrison on Fri, 10/26/2012 - 2:57pm
I stood at the window watching the red tail lights disappear. The intensity of the moment makes my heart race. “Creak!” The worn oak steps shift as gravity yanks me down the slender staircase. My damp breath against the chilled glass fogs my vision as I peer at the dusty road. Water starts to drip from my eyes like a leaky faucet. My heart sinks into a mud hole of despair. I cannot help but weep as my Mother leaves me, home alone. Will she ever return? This is what was running though my four-year-old mind.
