Blur

She stretches her fingers
up to the
blue-sky-pulsing-sun and
squints her eyes,
letting dark lashes
blur
the
world,
until the white tips
of her nails
blend into the puddles of
gauzy clouds, and the
(souls) of her feet are
tangled
up
in
the scent of new dirt and
expanding grass and
warmth that echoes
from his
body
next
to
hers.
She thinks
about how the
wind smells
exactly
like
his
skin.
