On My Nerves

How do I describe
that stuff
that just gets on my nerves.

Somethings I just
choose not to talk about.
To avoid them.

Sand stuck between my feet and my flipflops... r-u-b-b-i-n-g
high pitched scratching noises
I know, random. Right?

It just hurts my ears.

Hate
though I would use that word to describe any of these words
is there a way to hate hate?

Well you could say
that I'm a hypocrite
but sometimes the short words are easier to say

No matter how hurtful
I'm not saying that words have feelings
just...

what
I said
above.

But it's hard to try
to live with these things
especially when they don't hold up their end of the deal

they only continue to be
annoying
and make the hair stand up on the back of your neck.

But we
live
in this

imperfect

world

full of imperfect

annoying

scratchy

things.

    Winter is coming.

    Silently with chapped lips and

    breath in the cool air.

But, I think I'll finish this

    half-baked thought later

when winter has come and gone.

  • Ghost

Once a sweet violet syrup of passion,
now the bitter acid of indifference.

Once a giddiness like rays of sun on your lips in the spring,
now a cold careless ghost of the past.

    I indulged in the newness,
  • Floating

My head is in the sky with those puffy white clouds of giddiness and
A foggy understanding of what is to come is all that inhabits my brain.
My skin is warmed by hot star energy and the smile pulling at the corners of my lips
