Where Are You?

You sat there
when the doctors
delivered the news
and told me
everything would be okay.

You said that
you would be
right next to me
the whole time,
Holding my hand,
through both the good
and the bad times,
When I was scared
and needed someone
to be there for me.

Well where are you now
when none of the
treatments are working
And they say
there's nothing more
they can do.

Where are you
when I'm alone at night,
crying myself to sleep,
wondering why
there wasn't anybody
by my side
to hold my cold hands.
Why haven't you been here?

well done for making a poem more than it could have easily been

Maybe they weren't there because you weren't there for yourself??... i really like the whole "yah right look at you now" kind of sense to this poem, i really think this poem has more possabilities than just emotion, it also has a point a plot, a backround, altogether well done. good job!

"happiness shines in a cirle of ponies"..words to live by!

I really liked this because

I really liked this because I feel like a lot of people could relate to it. I feel like this could really hit a soft soft for some people. It is sad and I feel like you can use this for many life experiences. Good Job!

I liked this one. The words

I liked this one. The words used hold a lot of meaning. Maybe the one you wrote this about read it and said 'Oh, s/he's right... where was I?' I told them I'd be there, and wasn't.

I think that writing from personal experiance is key. People try to write poetry like this, but if you haven't been through it youself, it has less meaning. Plus, writing about something that's happend to you comes easier than writing something that you haven't been through.

Mhhmm, I'm going on and on about how writing from personal experiances and I think that I've just rambling on. LOL!!

So anyways, message in this is very stong.
