Once Upon a Time

Once upon a time
i believed in happiness

the kind that no matter
what happens the smile
can't be wiped off your face

but i've matured and seen
what the world is really
about, pain and sadness

happiness ever so hard
to achieve until i met him
the one that makes me feel

as though i'm floating on air
and not even the saddest thing
in the world could bring me down

from his arms that ride like wings
above the clouds, make my cheeks
hurt from constant smiling

miss this feeling of true love
happiness
and it wasn't so hard to achieve
