fortress at heart

ive been trying so long to be able to take a bullet
in the chest and not feel it
but i discovered that i couldnt let her in
so i knocked down the walls ive built for years
my protection from harm
but whats life without fear, without love.
when she got inside my fortress, she took me prisoner
and hassent let me go and i dont want her to ever
i found its better to love someone than to take a bullet
