Wonderful Winter

I feel crisp air upon my face,

And the clutch of a sister’s hand clinging to me.

I rush down the hill on a sled,

And hear the poof of snow as it falls from a tree.

I feel the cold as a snowball hits my head,

And the warmth of hot chocolate down my throat.

I hear the scrape of skis as I rush off ice on the mountain,

And the pat pat of snowshoes as I tread.

 Winter is so very nice,

Why do we dread it when this season comes to rest?
