Tides Vs. Trembles

A giant stares down to sea –

Earth

in its entirety. 

Until the rising waves

make crests like mountains,

move like mountains, 

Are impossible to tell apart.

To discern a second of spray

To a millennia of the shifting skins

 of our planet . . . 

And so a giant stares down to the sea –

Only to witness the passage of eternity.
