♡♥️Ethnicity♥️♡

Everyone has ethnicity, the fact

or state of belonging to a social group that

has a common national or cultural tradition.

The definition.
Used in a sentence, I say I’m black

and half Puerto Rican.

But I am many things, due to mom and dad.
But to some people,

I’m black.

Do I not look Puerto Rican,

do I not sound Puerto Rican?
Some questions would swirl my head.

I used to care about people saying that I’m just black.

I thought I had to prove it, so I spoke spanish.

Some fluently, but not all.
I learned a while ago that I’m not just Half Black and Half Puerto Rican.

I’m mixed

I’m Black, I’m Hispanic, I’m African, I’m Irish, I’m Nigerian,

I’m...mixed.

People ask me,

‘If you were to say one thing about yourself, what would you say?’

My answer was ‘weird’.

People would ask me,

‘What are you?’
My answer was either a human, another

one was an alien to joke around,

but my other, real answer was half Black

half Puerto Rican.
Sometimes I would wonder,

Did God bring me down here to accomplish something for

him, or for me. Guess I’ll never know.

My other question would be.. ‘How can I do all this?'

How can I move, how does my brain

tell me what to do, how do I breathe, and

I know what my mom would say.
In through your nose or mouth.

But I know that my mom knows what I mean when

asking that question.
