Winter, My Enemy

Winter, My Enemy

By Jacob Law

Pellets of sleet

stab me

like a thousand pins and needles

The cold winter air

STRANGLES me

as I walk out the door

Cold snow

bites at my feet and my nose

And ice trips me

when I dart through the field

With my friends

Icicles threaten to impale me

As they hang from the gutters

Winter should be arrested and cuffed

Winter is guilty
