Thunderstorm

A night
Struck from the sky
By a torrent of thunder
Cold light invading your house
As it crashes through your trembling windows
And illunminates your fearful figure for seconds
Before darkness reigns again.
Breathless moments counting
Waiting for the low rumble of thunder
Follwed by the splashing rain
Drizzling itself over the earth
A crash
A strike of light
A drop of rain
Then
Silence
