Podcasting Workshop -- Postponed

YWP folks!
For those of you who haven't been to our new headquarters, we are now happy owners of 10 new I-Macs, thanks to the generosity of the Physician's Computer Company and, get this, some knitters from around the country. (Someday I'll explain.)

We want to try them out and help you learn how to create podcasts. We are holding a two hour workshop that will consist of this:

  • You bring in your best piece and we work on it to prepare it as an audio piece. We'll help you with edits, suggestions on changes, etc.
  • We'll then talk about basic ways to record and use Audacity to edit your sound files.
  • You'll record at YWP and then upload finished file to the site.

We'll go over examples of great podcasts, get you to brainstorm other ideas, feed you with some sugary snack and send you on your way.

WE FIGURED IT WOULD BE TOUGH TIMING we have decided to postpone to early summer.

Computers supplied; bring digital recorders if you have them.

ADVANCE WORK: Please bring with you or post what it is you'd like to record as a podcast.

GRR, as someone with very few podcasting tools and skills, this sounds awesome to me. unfortunately, I really don't see it happening what with the end of the year being so hectic. Unless Geist is going and I can hitch a ride with him, I don't see it happening. Will there be another of these workshops?

I'm in the same boat here. I'd love to improve my podcasticity, but the conference is the very next day, and so few people are able to make it because of the end of the school year(myself included).
