Anthology selections are beginning-- UPDATE
We are beginning the process of selecting work from the 2008-2009 year for possible inclusion in our annual Anthology of best student work. If you have one or two blog entries that you really like and want them to be considered, please tag them with the keyword "best08-09" (no spaces, all lower-case). We need to have your selections by July 1.
An update from the team: Be on the lookout for changes in the tags of your own blogs. While we are primarily taking your picks, newspaper submissions, and Daily Reads into consideration, we are culling through all the blogs on the side.
If one of your posts is unexpectedly tagged, it just means that your writing will be considered as a possibility for the anthology. If it's chosen, keep an eye on your email accounts so we can get in touch with you.

A (Potentially Stupid) Question:
Will pieces of work previously submitted for newspaper publication be considered?
Or must one specifically designate work for the Anthology?

No such thing...
...as stupid questions. Submitted work previously SELECTED for publication or special Web promotion will be considered. So, too, will Daily Reads regardless of where they came from.
If you have ONE submission that was not selected, you may mark it best08-09, but we are really looking for blog posts that we may have missed.

Yes, as Imagine said, others did tag some of your Newspaper Series submissions. But if you want any of your blog entries to be considered, you'll need to enter them yourself (unless they were Daily Reads).
