That Girl I Know

We all know her
she walks tall
too tall
if that's possible
she knows
that when people look at her
they want
everything about her
her hair
her clothes
her smile in your direction
but
it's all an illusion
a trick
that she has power
no one really
has power
no one really likes her
they just pretend
because right now
in this moment in time
she's the one
they want
they need
and she knows it
maybe that's the problem
that she always knows
how great she is
but she's not great
not really
she's a lie
how else can you explain
the fact
that even when she's mean
people don't notice
and go on loving her
even though it's not love
it's something else
something shallow
something fake
because someday
it won't be her anymore
on the top
looking perfect
acting nasty
but for now
this is how it is
she's just a girl that I know
and with a flip of her perfect hair
she's gone
