Thanks for a great year!

Thanks so much to everyone for all your submissions to the Newspaper Series this year. We'll be posting next year's prompts in August. Over the summer we'll be looking for selections for the Anthology and for some of the work we'll be publishing this fall.

Our guiding rules are:

  • Treat others with respect;
  • Put energy into what you do here; and
  • Your work must be your own unless noted.

This site has prided itself on civility, restraint and appreciation for each other's ideas and efforts. This, we believe, is what a safe Web site is all about. We are an oasis in the desert of Web discourtesy. And we are, in fact, able to share, disagree and argue with respect. And what we learn is that there is great power to words whispered, to opinions expressed thoughtfully with humor and humility.
