Brahms Sextet

Special's picture

While listening to the rehearsal of Brahms String Sextet No.2 in G major.

Can words swell & wane
as a melody may?
Although, I suppose
words carry more likeness
to the bows & fingers,
playing on instruments of
page & producing, instead
of music, bruising thoughts
& drowning emotions-

similies as rhyme &
crescendos the realization
of some sort of purpose. A
poem would be this
sextet, in that the layers
of line, stanza, verse
return to each other & tangle
into chaos that emerges as
beauty- as bliss.

What is a word without a verse?
& what is your a without his f?

[What is music without the
conjoinment of
so many to play & so many
to listen?]

Special,

This is wonderful!
I am impressed with the colorful language that you can use to describe music... I believe this seems impressive to me because music can seem to be almost intangible at times. I mean, you can look at notes... but what does that mean? You can't touch music, and it's very hard to describe it.

"What is your a without his f"

That quote brings to light how important collaboration is in music. Job well done!
