Information rules
the rules of exchange
an eye for an eye
a tooth for a brush
a smile that glitters, and glows, and sells
medicine to clear your head
with some side effects
wide wide wide wide open up
all garage doors and no
more kids on skateboards
leaving skin on sandpaper asphalt,
hair, paint, signatures
and the date, please, and your name printed
legibly
Yes I choose to release my transcript
It's happier in the wild anyway
These hours of work shouldn't live in a filing cabinet
for reference purposes only
How much time is folded in those drawers?
How many lives locked away in cell E4
page 1 workbook one untitled
spreadsheet untitled student in
Excel. excel.
I tried.
but I'm mostly numbers and they
don't
add
up
to this much wasted time.
And Information is king,
Information rules, Information makes the rules,
the machine that changed
(or charged) the world.

I love Found magazine
I check it all the time.
I think I love this so much because when I find a discovery that really speaks to me, I often wonder how it touches other people,
this does a great job of showing how this touched you, in the most artistic and elegantly depicted of ways -always.

"The point is not understanding what I write but feeling it." -Bob Dylan
Enjoyable!
I found this piece of writing very insightful in that it allowed for a new perspective to be taken. We are all aware of the power of knowledge and what can be done with it. However, we tend to forget this and continue everyday without realizing this. I think this poem brings out the importance of knowledge and learning. For myself, I take away a good piece of advice for children in school that it is important to realize the positive effects of gaining an education. At the same time the poem speaks to enjoy what you learn and pursue that interest. The diction chosen really complimented the piece as a whole and made it more effective. I think the only suggestion I have is to use more elements of poetry within your writing. For example, using a hyperbole would make the poem more effective. Overall, great job!
