It doesn't need to be one of the new gen., either. I still love my PS2 to bits and peices. =]

oh yeah, my gamecube is great.
And though technically the DS is a handheld, it's the best console around.
The PS3 is just plain bad, except of course for "LittleBig Planet" which looks just plain good. Although not good enough to make me want to buy one.
The Wii...so much hype about it. I am a nintendo fanboy, but...it's too much of a party console. You've got three good adventure games which are good ol' Nintendo franchises, but...only three. Give it some time, and Nintendo will really exploit the awesomeness of the motion sensors. Because the one thing that bothered me about the Wii's "Twilight Princess" is the sword controls. Instead of making you feel like you are holding an actualy sword, you shake the remote a bit whille lounging on your couch. I have the GCN version, which is better, but...I still had problems with it. It was too easy, to be concise.
The Xbox 360...a good console, generally all-around. Slightly lacking in the RPG department, but I haven't played "Eternal Sonata" yet.
and the PS2... recently one of my favorite consoles. Guitar Hero, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts...yeah.

The nintendo 64 is still the best system ever, but the Wii is catching up slowly.... I just got a wii and I love it!!!!! he he he.... I did hit my room's ceiling with the remote though... I got a little over spaztic with the tennis....

I <3 my wii. Its amazing.

I can't wait for brawl. That game is going to devour my life. Thank god mid-terms will be over by the time it comes out.

PS2 was nice, while I had to. The final fantasy games are pretty good, I had a few. Kingdom hearts is ok.

I don't think zoom is talking from personal experience, as far as I know they only have guitar hero II.

My PC is also rocking the house, with my new 8800GT graphics card, as well as my amazing processor (2.8 ghz dual core!) and my four gigs of ram.... Crysis, on all high settings. Runs really, really well. Pretty much every other game on the face of the earth gets eaten for a pre-pre-breakfast snack. Then it has plenty of room left for more.n <3

that sounds quite nice. I am going to be building something similar pretty soon. I am a bit surprised that 8800gt handles crysis on max. my friend's 8800gtx cant handle that with core 2 duo. i was going to try and go dual 8800gt's and a quadcore to try and get it to look nice maxed out. what sort of fps you get on your setup?
