Prompt Ideas
I really like photo prompts, those are great. Also, maybe a prompt about a house, or anywhere someone could live. Or maybe a photo of a house.
-Reina
Another prompt
I always liked hearing about my friends absolute craziest dreams. (as in sleep, not goal).
Just and idea. :)

La critique est aisée, mais l'art est difficile.
I agree with ReinaXC. Photo
I agree with ReinaXC. Photo prompts are fun. But I think it'd be cool if the photo prompts were some of the artists' work here on the site. Somehow everyone could submit their photographs, they could be picked, and the selected be the photo prompts? That would be splendid.

Your username has nerdfighter in it. By default, I now love you. DFTBA.
Yeah, I'd probably freak out too. But it sounds like a fun prompt that would be interesting to work with and see what people can create.

"Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?”
Prompts...
Plugged in— An extraordinary and ever-growing amount of our time is spent on the internet or various electronic devices. How does this really affect our lives, minds and relationships?
Writing about writing/poem about a poem— The writing process itself is, or at least can be, something of an adventure.
Habits— There are so many things, good or bad, that we do without thinking.
Teachings— The times we learn the most from people are rarely in the classroom. Who has taught you about life over the years?
Promise— A promise you wish you had or hadn't made.
Absolutes— The practical truth: The glass has water in it. The absolute truth: Everything is empty.
Guilty Pleasures— Unpopular music, silly-seeming movies or shows, candy, taking all the mini-shampoos out of hotel rooms— Why are yours guilty? Why are they pleasures?
Table— I'm sure everyone's already described their dream house before. But when you walk into it on a messy day, what is on the table?
Just spewing ideas. Feel free to maul them.

Write about discovering a secret society. HOLD IT! It's not such a great thing. First of all, the inhabitants (smarter than average) don't want anybody to 'discover' them. It's a secret. Plus, with the person who discovered it a blabbermouth, they aren't taking any chances letting her escape.
And what do you think would be the easiest solution to the secret city's problems? Hold her hostage.
Too easy for their advanced brains.
If you guessed kill her before she blabs about it...

Write a conversation between your head and your heart, discussing a subject on which they disagree.
Hmmm...
Maybe a list of random words--places, things, verbs--that all need to be included in a story or poem.
Taking five characters that already exist (Gandolf, Jack the Ripper, Peter Pan, Donnie Darko and Barnie, for example) and sticking them all in elementary school together. Tell what happens. Decidedly less cliche than a deserted island or empty room.
Best April fool ever. Tell about it or write a story.
Freaky Friday! Who will swap places this time?
Someone from the middle ages shows up in the present. How would they react?
Invisible for a day! What would you/any character do?
There's something in the basement! Tell a scary story with any ending--could be funny, scary, anything.
That's it for now.
Picture yourself in a boat on a river,
With tangerine trees and marmalade skies.

A girl with kaleidoscope eyes.

Fantasy
A prompt on any matter of fantasy. I enjoy writing prompts that are all fiction and not true, just fun and adventurous. I think something with magical creatures and magic in general would be fantastic.

I would really love there to be a prompted having something to do about teen parenting or teens be coming parents or something like that. I find the subject to be fasanating and most of my hidden work is about it. I think it would be really kool to see what other people say about it.
One more...
...Humanity. What is it about humans that makes us different from other mammals? The behavior patterns are roughly the same. Our brains actually aren't as big or complex as those of some other mammals. And it is clear that emotion, particularly love, is in no way unique to our species. If we're not the biggest, strongest, most caring, or maybe even not the smartest of creatures, why are we at the top of the food chain? Why are we the ones dominating the earth?
