"Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?”

Harry Potter

Harry Potter was my everything for years. It's probably the deepest obssession I've ever had. I've kind of grown up with Harry, Ron, and Hermione- they used to be some of the closest friends I had. Which sounds pathetic no matter how you put it, but there you go.

I don't have tickets to see the midnight showings, which is a massive disappointment to me. It feels a lot like this is goodbye to one of my favorite fandoms ever.

I guess all I can really say (even though I promise I'll be crying a little bit tonight at midnight) is what I've been saying for years- that he'll only be gone when those truly loyal to him have left. And if that doesn't prove how geeky I am...

I still havent gotten to

I still havent gotten to sleep... 'Cause I'm still just thinking about how it's over. Like this is our childhood here. Never again will I rush to get to the front of the line at 5 oclock for any potter type material. In all I cried about twice during the movie. I won't say in which parts for those of u who for some reason havent read the books but love the movies. They changed a bit, but all in all it was epic. Goodbye Harry my homeboy.

Substitute

If anyone ever finds anything to even compare slightly to Harry Potter, I beg you, tell the world and comfort all of the fanatics in the world. We are in pain, I'm sure you can sympathize.

"To the well organized mind, death is but the next great adventure."

Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home.

I don't think I can review

I don't think I can review the film with a conscience, because it would be like critiquing a dear friend of mine (that being said, the film was perfect. A few things weren't exactly how I would have done them, but it was lovely in every way. And a million things about it were so much better than I ever would have hoped.) Harry Potter has been so much more than a book and movie series for me, and so many others. It has been my childhood, my friend, my key to magic. I don't love it in the way that I love a story, I love it in the way I love my closest family members. I miss it when it's not around and I feel whole when it is. That might sound silly to those who aren't Potter fanatics, but to those who are, I'm sure it will make perfect sense. Little brother Thor, some friends and I were first in line for the midnight showing of DHpt2 (got there 7 hours early. If that's not dedication, what the hell is?), and during the wait we took part in several hours of intense Potter trivia battle with the guys in line behind us. We creamed them of course, but that's beside the point. It was a magical experience for me, because these were people who I'd never met before and probably never will again. We never even got their names. But for several hours we were all best friends, laughing together and sharing the world we all love. We were brought together by Harry Potter for a brief moment in time, and in that moment nothing mattered but the magic. I will never forget this wonderful night, and in hard times the memory of it will be proof to me that real magic does exist.

I'm still in denial about it being over, and have surprised myself by not crying about it since the movie ended. (I cried consistently for about the last half hour of the film, which was a drag with 3D glasses on.) But I think in a way that's because I know it's never over. As J.K. Rowling said, "Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home." I plan on reading these books and watching these films til the day I die, and making sure my own children have a taste of the magic as well. Every time I step into the wizarding world, I always notice something new and spectacular, and I'm sure I will notice a million more things in the future.

We are so incredibly lucky to be the Potter generation (no one will ever call us the Twilight generation. Just saying. Harry Potter is about standing up for what you believe in, overcoming adversity, loyalty and the power of the human spirit in life and in death. Twilight is about the importance of having a boyfriend). We have had something completely our own, that is more inspiring and full of- dare I say it again- magic than any other phenomenon.

This sums it up for me pretty well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1vDjOv_B4Gk

Oliver Boyd and the Remembralls! They are one of my favorite bands of all time! And this really is one of their best songs. Thank you so much for sharing, I hope other people listen to them!

Really good!!!

I saw part 1 and 2, their really sad ,more part 2, and I was crying.

Don't hide from your dreams.

Now its your imagination. Keep it going.

I really don't believe it can ever really be over. I think that the series may have been concluded or they may have defeated Voldemort, but their was evil wizards before so wouldn't their be some after? Voldemort did have alot of followers(death eaters)... Well Harry lives on along with Hermione, Ron, and some others so who knows? Don't make it end if it doesn't have to.

 I started reading them when

I started reading them when i was six but the first one scared me so much that i could not even bare to see it on my shelf! Luckily I tried again and have read each book at least 7 times and seen each movie except for the last ones at least 4 times! I am so sad it is over! Harry Potter is such a special thing, it can be enjoyed by anyone and makes a deep impression on everyone!

I myself tried reading the

I myself tried reading the first one and had the opposite reaction----

I was bored out of my skull.

My friends and my sister says that I should read them and the first book is just a little dry, but i don't know. Sarah says the last one is pretty intense. And apparently harry dies and comes back to life. Can someone tell me if that's true or not?

If it is....

Am i the only one that sees that as weird?

Bottom line. I don't really read harry potter. Or watch harry potter.

But maybe someday. When i read twilight. Which I probably won't ever, haha. Too many bloodsuckers. I dunno. I'm prob'ly just weird.
