Up In The Tower

Up in the tower

Where I sit

The sun rises so early

So beautiful

And so quick.

But I was told

That a prince

Would come so quick

To my rescue

Oh what a trick.

No one is coming

Nothing but the moon light

Who comes without a request.

I’m all alone up here

Or so that’s what I thought

But that’s when I heard a young,

Handsome voice

That carried up

And into my world.

He tried and he tried

But he couldn't grasp on

The wall was too slick

And so he was gone.

Without another try,

Without another leap,

He waved his hand up

In frustration as I weep.

But he’s gone

So long

I didn’t need you.

Because I have my tower

The sun

And the moon.
