Step up to the plate

There’s no turning back

Decisions to make

Your hearts under attack.

 

There are always three steps,

Three bases you can say,

That helps someone

Keep the ball in play.

 

Here we go now

Strike one and strike two

With a swing of the bat

It’s comes down to me and you.

 

The crack of the bat

The speed of the ball

Lets you know this game

Isn’t a free for all.

 

Step one

Base one

Don’t look

Just run.

 

Step two

Base two

Don’t fear

Just do.

 

Step three

Base three

Don’t slide

Just breathe.

 

Last base

Home plate

If you don’t

It’s too late.

 

Life’s a game

It comes in many forms

Win or lose

You made it through the storm.

I like this. When it goes into the shorter verses, it flows really well. Sorry I'm not much help (my comments usually aren't) but I really like this! Keep writing! :)
