The white snowflakes drift toward the ground

They catch on my eyelashes

As I look up toward the sky

And wish –

For you on Christmas.

 

I can hear the sleigh bells drawing near

And my eyes begin to wander

As I look around for the truth

And wish –

For you on Christmas.

 

My heart can sometimes feel the emptiness

That my days have been like

When I don’t have you.

And I wish –

For you on Christmas.

 

And on Christmas, I don’t need toys or candy

I just want something real

That’ll last me forever.

And I wish –

For you on Christmas.
