Lasting Evidence
Lasting Evidence

An abandoned home; a heinous crime.
Yet, neither decrepit nor unused,
Still caressed gently by the roiling waves, full of watery passions.
Swiftly tilting spirals dance,
Their patterns dizzy from turning in the sea,
Swinging about in raucous circles.
A hard, pointed pinnacle,
Worn and dull from past grievances of the ocean's fury,
Now basking in benevolent sunshine of the shallows.
Its outward face; tiny dancing textures,
Rough like the sea's great tongue.
Trying to hide the ill-concealed blush within.
Determined, clinging grains of sand,
Sustained through the ages of nature's wrath,
Remaining.
Lasting evidence.
