Just a star.
Just a little shiny star. Nothing much. Questions rage on about the stars, Quite annoying. She covers her ears continuing her train of thought. What's so special about a star? It's a glowing yellow thing in the sky. Stupid star. She pushes her chair away from the table and stomps to her room. Stupid, Stupid,Stupid star! Nothing amazing about a star. She slams her door behind her and flops down on her bed staring at the cealing. The posters which hang above her stare down at her. Memories flood her brain. She pictures when everything was happy and cheerful. She pictures the world innocent and harmless. Dreaming is worthless, pointless. She sits up quickly amazed by her thinking. All the fighting has gotten to her head. Changing her view of life and the sweetness it brings. Just like a Chocolate chip cookie brings to her tastebuds. Her head starts to ache from the yelling. It's just a star.. what's so special about a star? Her parents would argue with her. They would fight with her. It isn't just a star, It's a special star. Thing is, it's her star. She just doesn't know it. She lays back down throwing the covers over her head. Stars, stars. Just a glowing thing in the sky. A gental knock sounds from her door. She gets up and opens it, she sees her parents standing there. "Darling, that star is your star. It's called Jayla." My star. Just a star is my star. Jayla's star. That's... My .. star.
