let it rain

Largely inspired by OK Go's "Let It Rain"

she's standing in a parking lot by her old chevy and

waiting for you, and all you can do is

kiss her and say that you're

sorry

and you walk away and you'll never see the

crowd of angels she sees around you singing

hallelujah and you can't help but

welcome the rain that

pours around you because the rain can

hide the tears that she sheds.

 

she's curled up in the corner of an

empty room, and the tears are

blurring her vision and the

angels have fallen around her and

you have the car in cruise control and at least

she can't see you because she can't stand to think of your

apologetic face and whatever

gods exist are weeping, weeping

hallelujahs to the empty sky and

you can't help but welcome the

rain

This is so incredible. I'm actually thinking of writing this down. I love the way you describe how the girl sees the boy, and I love the description of the boy and how he feels about the situation. It makes it seem so real. Thanks for writing this.
