Gleaming metal trunk,

Sections gracefully melded

Limbs crooked and broken.

Shining silver branches

Reach for the heavens.

Unnatural beauty

Erupting from the earth

Reflecting the sun

In tangles of silver.

Ethereal tree, stillborn,

In a forest, ephemeral.
