Maidens dance

Forgetting in youth

The fate the old know well

Gathering short lives

in a beautiful bouquet

To adorn their silky hair

And bright spring dresses

 

The fresh, cool breeze

Catches seeds

Of a fading dandelion

Bright beauty blown to the winds

 

Hidden from sight

Silver-grey scythe at hand

White beard

Concealed by a cowl

Dressed in black

He awaits to receive

Six bright young flowers
