[you know who you are]

I have seen you lately as I have always seen you since I stopped knowing you.  You have not changed who you are, you have not shifted some internal tectonic plate and become the you that I fell in love with [you never stopped being her].

[you do not know that you are being written]

You have seen me lately as you have always seen me, because you have always known me.  I have shifted inside, mild earthquakes rustling through my vertebrae and just shivering into some unknown brain chemical. I am not the me that you used to love [I was never really her].

[you will never read this]

I have seen you lately only as you, and I have realized that you are not who I though you were.  I have seen you lately untainted by love, and I have realized who you are to me.  Each time I see you, I realize a tiny bit more what you are, what you will always be [I have always loved you].
