Mirror mirror

On all the walls

Shattered glass

Broken falls

Piercing the hearts

Shedding the tears

Broken kingdoms

Give in to fears

 

Poison apple

Ferocious bite

Eternal frost

The endless night

Fearless mistress

The black queen’s strife

Embodied in

The hunter’s knife

 

Beautiful girl

Innocent child

Chased by evil

Her home defiled

White as snow

Black as night

Red as blood

She brings the light

While I wanted to leave a comment as a test -- to see if you receive email notification that I commented -- it was a pleasure to read this. Lovee the rhythm, energy, surprise. It is always nice to see what people can do with an almost cliched ditty ... I love the directions you took with this.

I like the flow and how you changed the "known" rhyme, and turned it into something I will read over and over.
