The man was shot. The bullet had sliced through his shoulder, making him stagger back into a pool of blood. His scream was cut off by a white hot pain which emanated into him like a thunderstorm. Finally he fell to the ground, dead. ''Thats the last of him,'' Simon whispered has he lit another cigaret. The smoke emanated out of the alley turning the air into black mist. The deed was done. The detective that had been fallowing him for the last four weeks was dead. Now he could return to his normal life, and could spend riches.
He staggered out of the alley grinning.
4 weeks earlier
It was 6:25 AM and Simon had just woken up. He got out of bed and made some coffee. He got into his pickup truck. He drove to the convience store. He needed to get something.
When Billy Sampson the store clerk was later questioned. He recelected seeing a man in his mid twentys buy a gun. He didnt think much of it at the time. The man showed him his permet and ID then walked out of the store.
7:33 AM. Mobs of people ambled thruogh 5th avenue on their way to work. Simon was one of them, but his work was different from most peoples but to any passersby he was just an ordinary man.
When he got home he had a hearty breakfast of bacon and eggs. He needed to keep up his strength. He had a big day today an didnt want mess it up.
