Dibs

"Who's She?" Calvin asks slowing down his bike on the side walk.

"I don't know." I said lifting my hand above my eyes to block the sunset.

We lived in a highly populated suburban neighborhood but you could always tell when someone was new. Some how you knew everyone faces. We both sped up and watched the long legged blonde pedal softly with the breeze. She glanced up at a street sign and you could see her blue eyes shimmer with the sun upon them. She was wearing short shorts like all the girls did and a blouse with long sleeves. Her shorts were red and her blouse was white with black polka dots. On her feet she wore black flats with three white roses on the toe. Her bag was slung over her shoulder and had leather ruffles going down the side. It was a dark tan. Her sunglasses peeked out of the top of it.

"Let's follow her, Jesse." Calvin said not even glancing back.

"That's sort of creepy." I mumbled and he glanced back with a questioning look.

Her peddled fast to keep up and stopped in mid pedal roughly two houses down. She stopped and went across the street. I saw a sparkly clip in her hair to hold back her bangs to the side. We followed as she pedaled up a brick fenced property with a long paved drive way. You couldn't see anything from the road because of all of the trees that devoured the view. We barley could see her as she pedaled upward. We dropped our bikes and hid behind trees. Once she finally reached the top we were hiding behind a tree with a wooden swing.    She dropped her bike next to a long stair case that led to gigantic doors to a gigantic home. It was white with red detail. and even had a marble front walk with white tall cylinders to hold up the deck/awning above. The house reached out about 10 feet from the brick fence and grew as tall as 4 floors. We ran along the side of the house and peeked around the corner. there was a fancy stone patio with an outdoor kitchen. There was an infinity pool that rested on the cliff edge that rich people had that looked over the ocean. Calvin turned around with his hands in his pockets and reached the large stair case and began climbing. I yanked his arm back.

"What are you doing?" I snapped in a whisper.

"Greeting people." He said and continued walking.

"Why? Are you crazy, Calvin?"

"I have been told." He reached out and poked the door bell.

You could hear a long ringing music that flooded through the house. Thought he window I watched her walk past the window to the door.

"Hello, may I help you?" The girl asked.

"I just wanted to say Hello. I heard you were going to come to our school in the fall." Calvin said.

"The high school?" She asked confused.

"Yea!"

"I am Annabelle. Come on in, you must be dying in this heat," I didn't realize till now her country accent. "We just got air conditioning installed so finally I have been able to get out of the pool." She smiled at us sweetly.

"Fancy." Calvin said.

Once I got into the house I saw shiny marble floors and two stair cases that were on either side of the wall that curled up to the second floor balcony. In the middle of the entry way was a small carpet with a small glass table that had a vase of daises in it. She walked us around it and to the kitchen at the end of the hall. It was huge. With a fancy island and large cabinets. She pulled three soda's from the fridge and placed two in front of us.

"Follow me, I will show you the pool and since you guys look like you just came from the big ocean, due to your swimmin' clothes, your welcome to jump in." She smiled again at us and settled us at the table.

"My names Calvin." He said giving her a wink that made her blush.

"I'm Jesse." I said before swallowing some of the fizzy drink.

She gave me a blank look. I think she was waiting for a smile or a wink, but Calvin already telepathically sent me the message of dibs.  She stood and slowly walked to one of the long chairs next to the pool and took off her clothes revealing a white bikini.

"Well, come on then I am dying." She exaggerated with her arms and eyes.

Calvin jumped to his feet and took of his shirt and shoes and stood beside her as I slowly followed.

"You try it out first, let me know if its cold." She said to Calvin who jumped in immediately.

"Its kind of warm." He said once rising for air.

She turned to me. "Jump with me," She grabbed my hand and pulled us to the edge. " 1, 2, 3!"

We both jumped, mostly because she pulled me, and indulged into the water. After only a few minutes of splashing, Calvin climbed out.

"Wheres your bathroom?" He asked smiling wide.

"Take a left and you will see it." She said almost bored.

Once he disappeared, Annabelle, swam up close to me so our bodies were touching. I looked at her from the sunset that I was blinding myself with. The moment she made eye contact she grabbed my neck and pulled up on me to kiss me. Damn is Calvin going to be pissed.
