Remember that story from a little while ago?
Remember the story called "To Be Continued" that I never really continued? I'm not exactly continuing, but I'm using summer gal's character outline for Meg.
Name: Meghan (Meg) [Last name TBD]
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Race/Species: Human
Hair Color: Reddish brown--streaky
Skin tone: Super pale, but freckly
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 120 lbs
Shoe size: Somewhere around 8/8-1/2
Favorite Outfit: Cargo pants, tank top (greasy, but comfortable), leather tool vest, combat boots
Personal Matters
Family: Lives with her family on a large airship--they're a traveling show. Her entire family--mother, father, brother, and a bunch of cousins--lives there.
Background: Meg was born into the family's life; she's always played the female-in-distress role. Her dad used to let her play with gears/small machines when she was younger, but she isn't allowed now.
Where does this character live: The aforementioned large balloon. She's never had a pernanent land-home.
Digging deeper
What is in this characters pockets/bag/other: A small lockpicking kit, a little bit of money, a long piece of string, a safety pin, a pen and small notebook, probably a small book, and several wrenches of various sizes (for fixing things and hitting people).
What is this characters favorite saying: "A raven is like a writing desk for three reasons: one, because Edgar Allen Poe wrote on both, two, because the notes for which they are noted are not noted for being musical notes, and three: because they both produce a few notes, all very flat, and are nevar (note: not a spelling mistake, it's a pun. Figure it out) turned back to front."
Does this character have any idiosyncrasies? not sure yet...
Speaking Style: She almost always has excellent grammar, but occasionally makes such statements as: "that was the most nauseatingest thing I have ever seen". Also has a rather thick Cockney accent (when she wants to, which is most of the time).
Mannerisms: She has a tendency to twirl a curl of hair near her face
Flaws: Her foot has a tendency to live in her mouth
Hearts Desire: To be able to be who she wants (a mechanic, rather than an actress)
Deepest, Darkest Secret: She's a lesbian, but has to play very girly romantic roles--she hates them
Reason for keeping this secret for so long: Her parents would accept her, but she's unsure about the rest of her family
Mood: Mostly pensieve; occasionally cheery, occasionally very dark
Is this character trusting, untrusting, or wary?: Very wary of some of her cousins; mostly just untrusting of audiences.
What is this characters purpose (if it’s to dispatch info at certain points in the story, you need to rethink this character): She's the main character around whom the story revolves
Something she must overcome/change: She's had suicidal tendencies, and needs to tell her family the truth about herself.
Getting into the mindset of this character
If this character was swept up by a knight or a monster, what would s/he do? Send a palm into his/its nose, a foot into his/its groin, and she'd spit in his/its eye on her way out.
If this character’s parents were killed, how would s/he react? She'd be heartbroken, and would probably at least attempt suicide. She and her father are extremely close; her mother is less close to her, but still adored.
If this character was faced with the decision of running away or joining the fight, what would s/he choose? Fight. She fights dirty--she's gotten caught in many a tight corner due to her attitude.
If this character was in a room with five character with clashing personalities, what would s/he do? Probably sit in a corner and laugh at them internally.
If this character was in a fight, what would s/he do? Fight her arse off--she woiuld never give in.
If this character was captured by pirates, what would s/he do? Sweet-talk her way into being on the crew, and live there for a while.
If this character met a person on street who asked for a date and said they only had so long to live, what would s/he do? Probably kick them.
