Jean Luc Dushime- Slides of Workshop, & Wisdom
For those of you who missed out on part one of Jean Luc's workshop, here is a slideshow and a few snippits to show you what you missed (Part II Friday Aug. 10, 1 p.m.):
Jean Luc's basic idea behind photography is to look for fresh angles, interesting viewpoints; tell a story; photograph what excites you.
"I started photography, I think, by accident."
Be inspired, but be yourself:
"I don't want to emulate anybody"
"Be a light seeker."
"That's life, we just buy stuff... and use it... then give it away."
"My mother always said, 'They can take everything away from you, but your education stays with you.'"
"The light does not wait for you." (In photography, and in life)
"If you look through your viewfinder and you know that picture, don't take it."
We had a good turnout, and it was a great workshop. Big thanks to Jean Luc Dushime for coming in and sharing his passion with all of us.
