Pacing around the room,

Trying to find things to do,

Watching the phone waiting,

Nothing happens

More pacing, more waiting

Another hour passes,

Still nothing,

Another hours

The same

I'm running out of things to find to do

A buzz

I run over to the phone,

False alarm, another friend

Five hours has passed,

I'm done waiting,

I put the phone down,

And walk away,

Phone buzzes,

I ignore it.
