Always a Good Time
I took her out to dinner
At a place for heels and ties,
We made it to the front door,
But I didn't realize
We needed reservations
A full day in advance;
She smiled and said "That's fine,
I think I'm in the mood to dance."
We went back home and I sat down,
But she kicked off her shoes;
She said "This is my kind of night out--
Are you in or out? You choose."
We danced to all our favorite songs,
We told our favorite jokes,
And nobody felt awkward
When neither of us spoke.
No Persian rug beneath us,
No chandelier above;
Sure, we dream of fame and fortune,
But all we need is love.

Nice
The cadence of this poem fits with the content so well. It makes it seem like less of a "sappy love poem" because it has such a light-hearted sound. Nice work.
If you want to view paradise, simply look around, and you will. Anything you want to... do it. Want to change the world? There's nothing to it.

Great
I really enjoyed reading this poem and I like the sort of love that this poem is describing. I also love the rhyming pattern you used!
