To the wind’s melody

First slow

Then fast

Then silence

A pause

A breath

The dance begins afresh

Careful steps

Careless steps

Who will fall?

The wind decides,

They will all

A quiver

A shiver

Down one goes

To be at rest

Never to rise

A little sigh

In the air

They each await

Their turn

But still they dance

For a chance

To be the last

To go
