Steel's True Blight
Maintaining the youth
And protecting the old
The sun has the hope
Metal can never hold
The heat of its rays
Keeps the damp from the steel
And prevents the decay
That is ever so real
A few parts lost touch
With the sun’s warming light
Allowing rust to set in
Steel’s one true blight
Now it’s stood against years
But not without cost
The sign’s once pristine state
Has been long ago lost
