Escaping The City

Escaping The City

Rebecca Clark

Away from the city, away from my house,
Yet even out here, I’m as small as a mouse.

The sky is so blue,
But still gives me no clue,
As to how we are,
Every one of us, driving a car.

This sign gives me chills,
But leads me to no thrills.

Even out here in the middle of nowhere,
Us humans, are still there.
