If you're the messenger, what's the message?

I loved this book--right up until the very end. Then, not so much. I felt cheated. What was your reaction? If the ending worked for you, why? If it didn't, why not?

I felt like it came out of nowhere, even though, as I thought about it, I could see clues had been planted all along. Because of the ending, I've got really mixed feelings about this book, although not enough to say I don't like it. I don't know, do you think this could have been made even better?

I am the messenger

I thought it was kind of obvious that Audrey would fall in love with him. I guess it was what I wanted, but it was also too expected.

I think that it was nice that he did things for all his friends, although it wasn't his choice, but it was interesting to see all their lives through a mission.

I can't really remember a lot of the book because I read it a couple weeks ago, but the mission I liked the best was the Rose boy's one, where his brother isn't very kind to him and so the main character (I don't even remember his name! Sorry) beats him up (oh! his name is Ed, right?) and says something to his brother, and them both Rose boys and a bunch of their friends beat Ed up. It just seemed like the most gratifying change he made to someone's life.
