A Sense Of Hope

I open my eyes to a beautiful open night sky.

Each star, glistening so bright.

It feels vivid, like a dream.

A dream that’s greater than anyone has ever seen.

Our pack all race to the waters, but we are running out of time…

Because the hunters are close in sight.

We each drink a little water, then run to each of our mothers.

We run the paths to safer grounds, nothing is stopping us now.

They chase us farther and farther away from home, where are we going to live now..?

Scared and tired, everyone takes a break. We thankfully managed to escape.

We hear the sounds of gunshots in the distance…

With each passing minute they seem to come closer.

Is this the end for us all? Do we falter?

No one moves at all, so it’s now up to me to stop this all.

A great battle is played, until no one can fight no longer.

Blood is shed, wounds are made, we can't escape.

After the last shot is made, the hunters go back to their place.

The pack was broken and damaged, none of them could manage.

With a heavy heart they all decided that this was going to be their dying spot.

Tears shed, hearts broken, this was the end…

Or was it…?
