Surprise

There was this one thing in the book that surprised me a lot. In this one part of the book Oskar is in this lady’s apartment asking her if she knew his dad. They are talking for a while and all of the sudden Oskar asks the lady if she would like to kiss him but Oskar is 9 and she’s 48, but Oskar feels like they have such have such a connection. This surprised me the most because what 9 year old asks a 48 year old lady to kiss him. It was very shocking.

I agree with Harlan, I think...

Harlan, oh Harlan, did that really surprise you?

Here's what I think in my humble opinion...

One surprising thing in the book when he basically asked a older women if she wants to kiss him. They were talking about his father then things seemed to get a little heavier and steamier. She of course says no and he questions that, saying its fine their age is so different and he feels like he knows her well. It seemed like a pretty strange situation and a strange thing for Oscar to even think about asking, that brings up some more questions about his character and why he would really ask that and maybe expect a different answer than what she gave.

What to do

Harlan i think you should date older women

dude...

dude are you dating older women yet?
try cj's mom

The Older Woman

Surprisingly the two of them did have a connection, but they are way too different in age to be going out. I couldn’t agree with you more.
