Shell

Song...

The weight of the world,
Is so heavy,
Heavier
Than I imagined.

I thought it would be
As light as a feather,
Drifting down and landing on my shoulder.

Because I thought
You would never leave,
You would be there

To hold me
To touch me,
To wipe the tears away
And to carry me when my legs can't any longer

But now I see
You were only
Building a shell.

*chorus*
You've built me a shell
And I'm sure as hell,
It wasn't for my protection,
It wasn't for me at all.
If I had had a say,
I would have shoved it away
And told you to stay
Around me.

You were a coward
In the corner
When I met you,
You kissed my hand
And it began,
It still remains.

*chorus*
You built me a shell
And I'm sure as hell
It wasn't for my protection,
It wasn't for me at all.
If I had a say,
I would have shoved it away
And told you to stay
Around me.

Because the weight of the world
Was heavy enough
When you were helping,
But now that shell,
Has been added to my load,
And I can't stand up
Anymore...

Oh!
You build me a shell
And brought me my hell
Earlier than I deserved
And it wasn't for me
It was all for you,
And now I know what to do.
I must shove you away,
And tell you to stay

Out of my dreams...

oh..

Just wondering, because you looked young and you wrote like you were way more older and mature than I thought you were. But I liked it none the less. It was interesting.
