Vermont

Vermont is the way I live. The fresh air I breathe, the extreme seasonal changes and the uniqueness that describes every individual. For the past 17 years of my life I have come to know Vermont in its beauty and glory, and not just because of its colorful foliage or its state of the art ski mountains. I have experienced the deeper aspects of joy in Vermont, whether skiing at Maple Valley when I was four, or going to Mount Snow and finding the trails that are unknown to the average tourist. I love music. My utopia would be full of music. I have a band, and my position is lead guitar, and backup vocals. I love having gigs, and jamming. I play guitar, bass, saxophone, and drums. Music sends chills down my spine.i don't think that i could survive without it.if there was no music i would have to jump off a building. i mean there are so many genre, and instruments there are to play, it's just amazing! If I had a choice, the world would be made of music. In the Shape of a Beast

Chapter 1
The Passing of Light

The feeling of heavy weight bearing down pushing flesh aside to the bone, which is an arm that becomes a pillow during a cold night for the living who bear no freedom. Metal wrapped around the wrist twisting and bruising the skin. Smells of rotting flesh makes its self ever more present. Trickles of light pass through the cracks in the wood broken by the movement of trees, until things halt. Horses panic as they are stopped. Voices of unknown life puncture the silence.
“We have no time for this. We must make the delivery before noon tomorrow.” spoken in a deep voice.
A more cynical squawk responds, “Ah shut you're trap, It'll be quick.”
The sound of the man's feet trotting through grass was broken by the noise of a body falling to the ground. The man with the deep voice stood from his seat above the wooden wagon, his large body provoking the wagon to tip and lean as he climbed off. Read more »

Rich Shopping

One store, two stores, three stores, four,
All you need and don't need galore!
You search and search as you walk down the aisles,
Your fancy shoes going ‘click, clack’ on the tiles.

You are looking for someone to answer your plead,
The store manager would be very good, indeed.
So you go to his office and ask for a tour,
And he agrees, for you are a richness in his store.

Fancy foods, attire, appliances and such,
But you think it’s all a bit much,
For you want something besides this stuff,
And now that you see it, you say, “That is enough.”

You take the pack and walk to the cashier,
With happiness in your heart that begins to cheer,
And smile as you take a piece as small as your thumb,
So what did you buy? A pack of gum.

The manager is angry; all my work for that?
You tip him the rest of your money: a few pennies.
He just stands there with a long, annoyed glare.
You just walk out, knowing you can’t go back in there.

Unfinished Business (Part 5)

Here we go, part five. Bit by bit. The whole thing will be posted in bits soon.

Silence met her ears for a few suspenseful seconds, and his voice said shortly, “I'm down a few blocks. I'll be there soon.” And he cut out. Maggie muttered to herself, “Oh, that's wonderful, wait for the partner...I've gotta get somewhere where this guy won't find me until then.” Read more »

Unfinished Business

Alrighty. This is a continuation of the bar scene, same characters, but much later on. I am going to try to work in the information as much as I can.
P.S. I already wrote up this entire effing thing once. And I LOST it. I'm so upset. DAMN COMPUTER VIRUS ALERT! Sorry, rant there, but it was really really really upsetting.
P.S.S. I sorta stole....a lot of this. And I really apologize to Zoe. A LOT. But I love the story she's writing, and she herself is one of the most awesome people evar, so I totally give her credit. For tons of this. Like..the warehouse idea. And the whole friends-with-guns-threatening-each-other thing. So don't think I'm creative. : ) Read more »

The Earthquake that broke my heart

I heard the sound of shattering glass. My dad was yelling “earthquake get down.”
My little sister was crying, my mother was mumbling, and my older brother was running towards me. “Hayden hold on” my brother said. As I curled into a ball, I felt him covering me. One by one glasses fell, books dropped, and all I could do was cry. My tears rolled down my cheeks like acid rain drops burning my face. The earthquake had gone on for another hour, and then it was over. As I tried to get up, my brother Andrew was still covering me. Read more »

The Hockey Game

The Hockey Game

My name is Kaitlyn and I am in 7th grade. I have one amazing sister named Casey who is 17 and one amazing dad. My mom has a lot of problems though. I have played hockey since I could walk. I am also one of the best players in the state, so people tell me. I never believe them though. Even though my highest score in one game is 13. Yeah, a lot right?
It is a regular week, this week. I am going to be piled down with homework and then I am going to have to stay up until eleven o’clock doing it. What fun!!! My school is beautiful. It has an outdoor garden and so many rinks and fields to play your favorite sports. The only bad thing about it, is the inside. Where all the real work is done. The place where every kid dreads. Our educational career. Everyone says that you have to stay in school to go to college. If that wasn’t true, half of the people in my school would be gone. Now here I am, heading to class, when I bump into one of my friends.
“Hi Kaitlyn,” said a familiar voice.
“Oh, hi Kristine.”
“Are you going to the hockey game tomorrow?”
“Duh, we’re both playing it. Who would miss it? We’re playing the varsity team. We are only U-14. How are we supposed to beat them?”
“Come on Kaitlyn! We have a really good team. We haven’t lost a game yet. The varsity team has lost almost 50% of theirs.”
“Still, they have a lot more experience than us.”
“True.”
“SO TRUE!”
“Fine, we are going to win though Kaitlyn. I have to get to class. Talk to you later okay, and stop stressing about the game. We have practice tonight so we will get practice before the game.” Read more »

Fishing

Fishing
My favorite sport and hobby is fishing. I love to hop in a boat, walk along the shore, wade through water, and walk across frozen lakes to catch a fish. I started fishing when I was four. I fished with my dad mostly in Fairfield Pond because it was close, but now that I’m older we fish all around. Read more »

Ghost

Ghost

I do believe in ghosts because my mom saw a ghost in my grandma’s house.
She said it was black. This was three years ago my mom was scared when she saw a black ghost going up the stars. I think the ghost was my aunt because she died when she was thirteen. Read more »
