Hating Goodbye
Submitted by Ann Quan on Sun, 06/03/2012 - 4:58pmA Ride Down
Submitted by Ann Quan on Sat, 05/12/2012 - 12:15pmLucid, but beaten broken,
On a downward streak,
Going here, there, no where.
Looking down a skyscraper,
Making out the skyline,
Wondering how far it is down.
Leaning over, mind escaping,
Wind catching, hair billowing,
Finally at peace, freefalling.
Letting it all go, tumbling,
No regrets, not looking back,
A weight lifted.
Free, alive,
Happy,
At last.
Fell Standing
Submitted by Ann Quan on Sat, 05/12/2012 - 10:57amFalling in a pit of darkness,
Wind rushing past me,
Spiraling towards the unknown,
Lost in a sea of vancancy.
Like the golden leaves of autume,
I tumble into non-existance,
Free of what once entangled me,
Crushed by a traveler, left behind.
The wound on me is still fresh,
Never to be healed, broken,
From being hurt, betrayed, forgotten,
I lay, in despair, counting the stars.
Out of controll, finally standing,
Ready to destroy, explode once again,
Instead I leave,
To start something new.
Mt. Everest Crash
Submitted by numberworks on Sat, 05/05/2012 - 9:00am
I was flying nicely until my instruments on the plane went all crazy. Suddenly I lost all control, and my plane was being pulled into the clouds. I wondered if I was going to crash into something and how I would survive. I hopelessly tried to steer the plane away, but I kept moving toward the clouds. Boom! Suddenly I crashed into the summit of Mount Everest, and the only things that had kept me alive were my oxygen mask and tank, and my explosion proof suit. I jumped off the destroyed plane, and I fainted and got altitude sickness because I was not acclimatized.
TWO YEARS LATER... I woke up from my long sleep, and I'm alive! Actually no, I'm a dead skeleton on Everest. I started to walk up and down while wondering about how my plane is still here and if it can still fly. I thought that I was crazy and I would never get off Everest. I got inside my plane and magically commanded it to start its engine. It actually started, so I flipped a bunch of important switches and somehow I flew out into the sky. Boom! I crashed into Everest again and fainted. TWO YEARS LATER...

The Paths

I wonder,
Whether it is harder to prepare for the sadness,
Knowing that it is the inevitable;
Or to lose the happiness in your life,
Bluntly.
I wonder,
Whether there are limits and bondaries,
For us to explore and expand;
Or in the end, facing us is a
Wall.
I wonder,
Whether we are a concept, a lesson,
Waiting to be discovered and taught; Read more »
The Deep Truths
Submitted by Ann Quan on Sun, 04/22/2012 - 2:08pmAn arrow, a beam, a ray
Of light,
Branding the surrounding darkness,
For there is no darkness without sunlight.
A note, a tick, a trickle
Of sound,
Distinguishing the lasting silence,
For there is no silence without clamor.
Green, oranger, yellow
Of color,
Unique between the blandness,
For there is no blandness without beauty.
Hidden Secrets
Submitted by Ann Quan on Sun, 04/15/2012 - 10:41amOutside, the sun is raining tears,
So here I lay, hiding;
In the abyss, discoveries stay,
Yet here I wait, dying.
From our childhood, the stories play,
Enchanted forests, knights in armor ride,
So here I lay, hiding secrets,
In my world filled with possibilities.
Out of this universe, life grows,
Times machines, world peace lives on,
Yet here I wait, dying slowly,
In this place full of unanswered questions.
But here on Earth, in this diseased planet,
Covered in filth, battles, lies, secrets and deceit,
Is a precious key, hidden in plain sight,
Guarded by the purest of heart.
The Overheard Interesting Conversation
Submitted by cherry19 on Fri, 04/13/2012 - 11:41pm
I walked in the train, destination was Rainbow Land. I found the most comfortable seat in the train and sat down. During the time, I overheard the interesting conversation going on in the seat next to me; between a pink chubby pig and blue fluffy zebra.
“Hey did you see that cotton candy shirt!” said a pink chubby pig.
“Oh Yeah, I just bought it!” said a blue fluffy zebra.
“Really! Let me see. Ah, it smells like cotton candy too! Can I eat it?”
“Oh! No!”
“Ah… Yummy”
“You just ate my shirt!” *tears* *tears*
“That fine. I’ll buy you a new one!”
“No! It will not be the same! My mom bought this one for my birthday!”
“Then just tell her to buy you another one”
“You are bad friend!”
A blue fluffy zebra ran out the next station when the train had stopped. Like movie, he did a slow motion running and crying with his hand on the forehead. The blue shinny and fluffy fur waving against the wind as he ran, and then a pink chubby pig started to ran after a blue zebra. And I hope to never see them again.
Standing on a Busy T

Standing on the busy T
Busy people rushing in, people rushing out
All caught up in the morning buzz
As the train starts to wiz in the morning air, passengers sip their coffee, and conversations start to brew…
“Excuse me”, a business man says to a college student wearing a Red Sox hat
“Do you know the score of last night’s game versus the Tigers?”
“Yeah,” the student responded, “Sox won 9-7, Gonzalez hit a two-run walk-off homer in the bottom of the ninth to win it.”
“Oh nice, thanks,” said the business man, “Do you happen to know how the B’s did in their playoff game last night?” he added
“Sure do,” the bright student said happily, “Bruins won 3-1, and now they’re up 3-0 in the series”
“Oh good, and how about the Celtics, how’d they do?” the business man asks, over the rhyth of the thu-thump as the T’s wheels cruise along on the track
“They won too, beat Miami for the second time in two weeks, 104-96,” said the college student
“Wow, great night for Bean Town sports I guess!” the business man exclaimed, “Thanks for the info!”
“No problem, go Boston!” the student added as he stepped off the T at his stop in Cambridge
The train picked up speed and rushed on towards the heart of Boston
The start of another busy day in Boston,
And another busy day for Boston in the world of sports
Startling Discoveries

Favorite Place

Tranquility, wholeness is what I feel
lounging on the warm sand as the sun sets.
Something about that spot isn't quite real
in my mind repaying all of life's debts.
As the waves gently break into the shore
tough questions are unscrambled in my mind.
The silence is so perfect, feels so pure
my outlook on life is newly refined.
Here at the bay I feel like I belong
evil is no longer reality.
A few short moments I yearn to prolong
memories that will never escape me.
The happiness I feel when I am there…
Pencile... Know it all
Submitted by cherry19 on Fri, 02/24/2012 - 12:55amWaiting in the drawer
Sad and lonely
Wanting to be used
Seems like everyone has forgotten me
Then a shout
Oh no, the power’s out!
No internet, no emails
How could I contact my friend?
How about a letter, a letter?
Let's write!
Now where is that pencil, I have?
Finally, I am used
Take your time thinking before you write
Re-reading or recite
Will help you catch the misspell word or lost idea that you might never thought
All that technology
Telephone, computer, and TV
Don’t event help you catch a spell "flee"
For you never realize how technology can hypnotize
Spending hours and hours on electronic devices
I see this all the time, it come with a price
Staying up all night, trying to focus
Telling everyone that your work is bad
But at least you do facing the luck
Now pick me up and start to write
Go slow and steady, take your time
Finish the letter, let’s do some exercise
Run up to the mail box like in old times.
"Plugged In"
Submitted by plav43 on Thu, 02/23/2012 - 5:11pm
The Internet and electronics can be helpful and beneficial, but only if used and valued correctly. In means of communicating and being socially active, many features of the Internet and devices allow us to stay in touch with people whom we would not be able to without such things. It opens doors to new relationships and allows others to grow. The Internet holds endless amounts of information about everything which is another benefit, as we can learn great amounts from the Internet. Both the Internet and electronic devices can become a bad thing however, as it can make our minds dull from overusing and relying on these things too much. Minds can become dull in a way that reduces our brains efforts in gathering knowledge and make it “lazy”. But for the most part, if you know how to use the Internet and electronic devices and are aware of their benefits, they can be very useful things in our world today.

Comfort
Submitted by Ann Quan on Fri, 02/17/2012 - 7:21pm
A friend to hold in the dark,
A friend to tell tales of day,
A friend to ease the sadness,
A friend with you, always.
Spilling sorrow,
Sharing joy,
Been with you,
Along the way.
Why so glum?
Little friend?
Lost between,
Childhood memoirs.
Useless,
Forgotten,
Piddling,
Pathetic.
Tired,
Used,
Glum,
Unwanted.
One Wish
Submitted by numberworks on Fri, 01/20/2012 - 8:05pm
If I could make just one wish I would definitely wish to have two wishes. One wish would be to breathe fire so I could make nice and crispy food, burn down old toys and things I don’t want and, best of all, burn down all my homework so I have nothing to do.
With the other wish I would wish to get more wishes, except one wish that I would use to get the ability to fly. With the ability to fly, I would fly to school (without using gas), use a shortcut up mountains by flying and, best of all, carry people to places while charging an eighty dollar fee. With my other wishes, I would again wish for more wishes except for one wish, and wish for the ability to become invisible at will. With invisibility, I could sneak up on people to get items that I need, tools and things like that, take back things that were once mine but stolen from me, and best of all, I could say I’ll go somewhere and then quickly leave and go somewhere fun. Then I would wish for more wishes and...
Oh, I know I would give you one wish and tell you you can’t wish for more wishes. So, what would you wish for?
My Mistake
Submitted by Ann Quan on Sat, 01/14/2012 - 5:03pmA memory,
Buried deep,
Holding the ugly truth.
An action,
Scarring you,
Haunting the guilt.
A mistake,
Hurting you,
Wishing to go back.
A sliver,
Puncturing flesh,
Being innocent and naive.
A tear,
Radiating sadness,
I am to blame.
A mistake,
I made,
Hoping now, for forgiveness.
To Be
Submitted by Ann Quan on Sat, 01/14/2012 - 4:28pmTo have,
Is a gift;
To want,
Is a curse.
To be smart,
Is a privilege;
To be witty,
Is a dishonor.
To be funny,
Is a talent;
To be sarcastic,
Is a fool.
To be decisive,
Is a quality;
To be controlling,
Is a problem.
To be yourself,
Is a challenge.
One Wish
Submitted by Ann Quan on Sat, 01/14/2012 - 4:22pmOne wish,
My precious;
To demolish,
To vanquish,
To abolish,
To wish.
What might I wish,
You push;
For me to wish,
One wish,
I ask in anguish,
Why one wish.
I could be selfish,
To refresh, replenish,
I could be foolish,
To be rubbish, stylish,
Because it's my one wish.
But I wish,
Not to parish, vanish,
Extinguish, punish,
Flourish, nourish,
Relinquish, embellish.
But to accomplish,
To cherish,
For my one and only wish.
Dragon
Submitted by numberworks on Thu, 01/12/2012 - 12:15pm
My fiery breath blows over mountains.
The fire I breathe burns down cities.
I’m a dragon.
“Crunch. Crunch.” Those are my footsteps as I walk and crush structures like homes, skyscrapers, and churches.
“Huff,” as I burn down half of the entire earth by barely huffing a breath.
Everyone holds onto their ears as hard as they can while my roar echoes through the world that was once at peace, but now is being torn apart by my claws. Read more »
How I Became Santa Claus
Submitted by numberworks on Sun, 12/18/2011 - 4:13pm
It was Christmas Eve, and all the little children were putting out their milk and cookies or already fast asleep, dreaming of what I would give them. I took out my nicemeter (a meter that goes on your chimney and tests who was nice and who wasn’t) and loaded it onto my sleigh. The nicemeter looks like a giant, red and green bell, which rings numbers 1 to 100. Read more »
The Feeling of Hurt
Submitted by Ann Quan on Fri, 12/16/2011 - 7:50pm
To be cast away,
To be vulnerable,
To lose everything,
To know of the evil,
To be forgotten forever,
To feel an indescribable pain,
To be broken into tiny pieces,
Watch as all is taken from you,
Lonely in the vast, empty world.
Like a cracked glass, about to break,
A bird falling with a broken wing,
A tree burning to the ground,
A fish drowning uselessly,
A dog choking on water,
An almost dying flower.
Is there a way?
To stop the feeling of emptiness,
To be rid of this horrible feeling,
To have the ability to fight back,
To know how to face the dreads,
To fix what is beyond the limits,
To prevent the inevitable in life,
To have a say in this dark world,
To control the unreachable areas.
You laugh and sneer,
With no understanding,
And a cold, barren heart,
No kindness, no love,
Driven by selfishness,
Hatred, jealousy,
I ask,
What are you?
Knowing the answer…

The Lost
Submitted by Ann Quan on Tue, 12/06/2011 - 5:15pm
Under my bed,
Are dreams,
Dreams of the future,
Dreams of the past,
Dreams of destruction,
Dreams of new worlds,
Yet to be explored.
Under my bed,
Are hopes,
Hopes of becoming
Hopes of achievement,
Hopes of ideas,
Hopes of peace,
Yet to achieved.
Under my bed,
Is my life.
Lost in a barren wasteland,
Yet to be discovered.
One Dream
Submitted by numberworks on Fri, 12/02/2011 - 11:29pm
One dream that I had was when I died and became a ghost. As a ghost, I went flying into the air, on accident I jumped super high, and when I went invisible I was trying to get someone to see me. The downsides are that when you talk to people, they can’t hear you. The only other people who can hear you are other ghosts. Read more »
Ideas
Submitted by numberworks on Sun, 11/20/2011 - 6:30pmIdeas come and go,
Always there, but unnoticed until they are gone.
Some forgotten.
Others remembered,
Keeping you thinking about what you could do with them.
Ideas come and go,
Always there, but unnoticed until they are gone.

“It was simple, a dictionary.” He said.
“So are you hungry?” I asked. Read more »

And the squirrel says back, “Because I am a one of a kind squirrel that can talk and communicate to other things”.
