14. Procrastination. If you had more time, you’d be able to put it off longer. What do you put off to the last moment? Why? Tell a story about how you just barely got something done in time – or didn’t.
Alternate: Splat! Use that word in a story or a poem.

forgive

Just another dumb mistake
You think
But how many mistakes
May I forgive?
How many lies
Will I let myself believe?

Just another lapse of thought
You say
It won’t happen again
Never again
But it will
It’ll happen many, many
Times to come

How long will I
Let myself
Forgive you

You have learned
From your mistakes
But there are not many more
Mistakes to make

closet

It is very dark
I keep all my clothes in there
it is a closet!

winter

The snow piles high
Brisk winds chill me to the bones
Winter wonderland

laugh

The three stooges
Moe!
Larry!
Curly!
You can't help but laugh
Not just any laugh though
A side-stitching
Heart Aching
Throat hurting
Nose snorting
Saliva spitting
LAUGH!

Thrill ride

The heat is unbearable
The costume itchy
The bass line pounding
Energetic friends are now focused
All anticipating their moment of fame

The steps run through my head over and over
Oh no what’s that step?
My mind panics to remember
It’s time to go on!
What do I do?

I step into the front of my line
Trying to put on a smiling face
What is that step?

The music starts

My Alarm Clock

My mom gave me her old alarm clock simply because she got a new one, or so I thought. About a week later I learned why she had so happily passed the alarm clock onto me. At about 4 in the morning the alarm clock began buzzing. At first it was quiet and monotonous slowly waking me up, but then the buzzing noise grew louder and louder!

The Velvet Box

My mom carefully reaches into the contents of her pocket. Her hand disappears for a short moment then reappears with a jewelry box.

Expectations

Expectations
Expectations are held high
Reaching up towards the sky
Pressure pushes down on me
To be the best that I can be
Expectations fall short
Forcing me to retort
I try my best to reach the sky
To attain my goals and fly high
