God 1 and 2

God 1 and 2

English Honors

God 1 and 2.
Brothers in arms.
Kill streak buddies.
Adrenaline junkies.
40 to 5 is the least we can do.
Better watch out man we’re coming for you.
God 1 and 2.
Brothers in arms.
Brothers for life.

The Day

The Day Greg Goedewaagen

The air is flavored with a gentle breeze,
that seems to relieve the shock and greatness of it all.
It’s the day when so many things pay off,
the day when the last few years all of a sudden reach
their boiling point.
And in the climax the sky is but a few sprinkles of blue that have managed
to find their way through the surge of tasseled hats,
that seem to remain suspended in the air for everyone to take in,
for everyone to remember. -- Greg Goedewaagen

the woods

I walk through the woods
With the wind gently blowing
It is peaceful here

Hair cut

A person once let me cut thier hair
I guess they just didn't care
Now she looks like a bear

my special prom night

We danced all night long
Until she came home with me
One night stand oh man

Graduation

Dont be a tool
Go to school
It helps you not
To be a fool

Summer Fish

Feet dangling
Into the cool
Pond water
Holding a fishing pole
During a sweet summer day
Reminiscing life
Under the sun
While my fishing pole bends
With the weight of a catch

Just me and Dad

Fishing with my dad,
When I was very young
Was my escape to the burning sun.
His fatherly moments, and my toothy smiles,
Brings peace to my mind, and a glow to my face
With my little Donald Duck pole, and my hat that’s two times too big,
Everything is right, just me and him.

Fear

Heart racing
Someone following me
Run inside and lock the door
He’s not following me any more
False alarm

fishing

I’m not much of a fisherman but I don’t mind going out to do once and while. I have only eaten one fish that I caught and that was when I was in about fifth grade I got one and ate it.

Fishing

Fishing, Fishing
O so fun
Fishing, Fishing
In the sun.

Its fun to fish
In a boat
But only if
It will float

Fishes taste good
And are good to eat
Thats because
Their made of meat

the door

This seems familiar
I have seen this before
I cant believe I hit that door

lYRICS

Lyrics make music
Music makes sound
It makes people
Fall to the ground

It makes people happy
And thay cheere all day long
Then when thier bord
They play Ping-Pong

golf cart

I had a premonition once when I was a passenger in a golf cart and we started rolling down a hill with no brakes. I new from the minute we started driving there was a chance something bad might happen. I was right and it came true…we hit a tree.

waiting

Waiting

By Jessy Davenport
Woodstock Union High School, Grade 10

In a world industrialized…waiting
Waiting for time savers
Waiting for performance
Waiting for promised speed
Waiting for the guaranteed technology

Everyday…waiting
In line
In traffic
In the car
On the phone
On computers
Waiting…

In a world of speed…waiting
The perception of perfection…
Keeps us waiting all day
Fast food…too slow
Check out lines… too long
Everything available with a click.
Waiting for the world around us to keep up with our pace

Waiting for reality to stop us…
Before we make an irreversible mistake
Waiting always for proof, for a sign…
Relying on technology blindly,
And then not believing the truth,
Right in front of our eyes
When it’s not what we wanted to hear.
Waiting for the ideal situation to come our way

Our expectations are misleading.
While we wait
Maybe someday we will stop and think,
Realize,
Remove the shield…
Open our clouded eyes and see,
The origin of all this waiting,
In a world of industry, blooming technology that
Nothing is ever adequate, fast enough…
But still we wait.
