Ring of Fire
Submitted by pamcyr on October 11, 2007 - 06:56.“Noooooooooo” cried my little sister Sarah. I let out an exasperated yawn as I left for the bus. The bus picked me up, but instead of our regular bus driver an old man greeted us! This was not surprising that our bus driver wasn’t here, he usually wasn’t. This wasn’t one of the 5 subs that could drive the bus though. A chill went up my spine as I stepped on to the bus.

Fire is my skill and strength
The candle in my room
The warmth of winter
The power to destroy a city the size of NYC
The sun on a hot summer’s day that I cherish after a hard ,cold winter
A sunset over a lake
With a fiery glow that finishes off the day perfectly
The lock on my heart
The binding of my soul
A Little, Dusty Box
Submitted by pamcyr on September 26, 2007 - 11:00.A Little Dusty Box
There is a little box
In an attic of a house
Dust and mold cover the box
I wonder what is in it
Maybe a diary or memory
Or a treasure or a cloth
Or jewelry or candles
Or food of the past
I open it up and in it is
Something more valuable
Than anything, friendship
Darkness
